Who We Are
Started in 1972, by George Papadopoulos, we are your professionals in the Boston area who love to share the Hellenic Culture and Traditions through the art of dance.
George founded the Sons and Daughters of Alexander the Great Dance Group in 1972. Although George no longer performs with the group, he still attends weekly practices and remains an active leader in our organization.
George is a beloved member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Woburn, where he has dedicated his life to the Greek community serving both in the Church and as a founder of both our dance group and a children's dance group.
George's dedication to our Greek heritage is truly admirable and we are immensely grateful to have such an impactful community leader as our founder.
Our Team
We are a volunteer based organization made up of young adults ages 15-35 who meet for weekly practices to learn a wide array of dances. Our team specializes in dances from the regions of Macedonia, Thrace & Epirus. Together we are dedicated to spreading our tradition and culture through the art of dance. We have danced our way throughout the Greater Boston area and have even travelled to perform as far as Greece and Argentina.
